The newest toolkit from the ATN/AIR-P partnership provides guidance on the subject of puberty that can be directly applied to pre-teens with autism.Topics include body changes, self-care and hygiene, public versus private rules, internet safety and more! Plus, the co-author of the toolkit describes the tremendous need for guidance that inspired its creation. This toolkit was spearheaded by our very own FAC Parent Representative from Children Hospital Los Angeles and incoming FAC Co-Chair, Kameena Ballard-Dawkins, and a team of parents and providers from our network. We are grateful for their collaboration and devotion to develop this resource for families and teens with autism. Please see below to access the puberty tool kit and learn about many other exciting resources.
